Morgan Kitchen Museum of St. Albans, WV

Constructed in 1864, this structure served as kitchen for the 600 acre estate of John Morgan of nearby Putnam County. Union troops were served meals from this structure and has even been used as a hospital for troops (I hope not at the same time.) After being donated to the city of St.Albans, WV, and undergoing restoration, it has become known as the Morgan Plantation Kitchen Museum. ...An interesting stop if you have an interest in period cookware and equipment of the 1800’s.
