Piotr is a polish plein air artist graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts – Warsaw, Poland and the Royal Academy of Art – The Hague, The Netherlands. Piotr has exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Centre of Contemporary Arts Torun, Propaganda Gallery, and at Skaftfell in Seydisfjordur, Iceland. He received scholarships of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland in 2008 and 2013, and was shortlisted for the Hestia Artistic Journey Award in 2015. Since 2019 he has been a student of the Dieter Roth Academy in Iceland.
Piotr is making paintings with a deep respect for nature and taking comfort and solace in my connection to it. These paintings are a deep expression of his reverence for the landscape and its healing powers, and an honoring and celebration of nature, and this feels supremely important. His paintings have a great clarity of colour and focus on landscape features. Inspiration for this work comes from his many walks in the nature.
