Wollaton Deer Park – Nottingham

@rebeccahock_art

One of the attractions of Nottingham, England is the old Elizabethan mansion Wollaton Hall and the 500 acres of surrounding parkland. I am fortunate to have been here countless times, but it is always a joy to see the herds of deer roaming around the grass. At this time of year, the young males have their antlers and they venture out in front of the Hall to graze.
The weather can be quite changeable in August; from clear sunny skies to overcast and drizzle within a couple of hours, but should you need to take shelter, the Hall itself is always worth a visit and so are the cafes and gift shops.
