Looking East on Cadillac

I drove my car up the Cadillac Mountain Summit Road but found to my dismay that there was a low cloud ceiling and nothing could be seen. I turned around and drove partway down the mountain and found a beautiful overlook that offered views of distant peninsulas and islands fading in the distance but glowing in the sun. I was hooked, set up my pochade box and had just enough time to do a 90 minute study in oil on panel
