Late Evening West Kirby Lake
Michael McLachlan
@mac
These images are part of a series of painting interpreting the many different moods and light on the West Kirby boating lake.
West Kirby is a village on the west coast of the Wirral peninsular facing Wales ( near Liverpool Merseyside United Kingdom) There is a large man-made saling lake by the promenard. The light is always very interseting and sunsets spectacular.
I am working on a series of images using the Sennelier Oil Pastels which are delight to use. I have been experimanting with using the lubricant WD-40 as a thining agent . I have also recently created images on a background of thickly laid white acrylic paint and then using palet knives and fingers to create a relief image which I have then layered and coloured with the Senelier Oil pastels
