Honiton Pass, Lake District

This dramatic landscape shows one of the most scenic mountain views in the Lake Disctrict.
Bright and green grass in the foreground on the Borrowdale side of the pass contrasts with the gloomy and rather thundery background of the Lake Buttermere valley. Rising to 1167 feet in height at the summit, it is one of Cumbria’s highest passes. Fortunately, still one the unspoiled and serene corners of the country. Such an inspiring scene, with constantly changing movement of the clouds.
