Michael Wise was born in Brooklyn, New York where his appreciation for the arts was stimulated by the numerous visits to museums and galleries. He received his Bachelors degree in Biological Illustration from Iowa State University. Michael’s paintings are inspired by his passion for science and exotic flora and fauna he has encountered in his travels and studies. He currently resides in Bend, Oregon where the Majestic surroundings of the Cascade mountains have provided a source of inspiration for his work.
