I am a Bay Area artist. I love to paint alla prima and en plein air in a variety of mediums, including watercolor, pastel, and oil. My idea of a perfect day is a hike somewhere beautiful with interesting ecology or geology to paint. I've recently become interested in the history and creation of artist materials with an eye towards using local materials in my painting practice.
