Neuroscientist by day, she becomes a sketcher and illustrator in her free time. Federica is an enthusiast of urban sketching, a reality she discovered in 2017 when she moved to Cambridge to follow her career as a researcher. She draws mundane scenes of his life live, and loves interacting with whoever approaches her, intrigued by her portable box of watercolours. Her drawings are imbued with the experiences she lives while creating portraits and panoramas, which become very personal visual stories. Her involvement with the international community of Urban Sketchers saw her involved in a series of collective events of which she was the organiser and mediator. Federica loves interacting with communities of professionals, hobbyists and enthusiasts scattered around the world. Federica has recently embarked on a path of discovery and experimentation of the use of limited palettes and illustrative drawings, and she has created a series of digital illustrations that implicitly end up describing her training and growth. The latter activity now also influences his graphic production in the scientific field.
