I was born in Amelia, a small town located in the verdant countryside of Umbria, Italy. I first fell in love with the visual arts as a child, but it wasn't until much later that I began to study drawing and painting seriously.
I'm particularly interested in bringing traditional techniques into a modern context. I prefer to complete my paintings in one or two sittings, which I believe gives my works a fresh and often impressionistic feel.
I almost always work from life and can often be found travelling around my home country, capturing its natural and architectural beauty with my paintbrush.
