Artur Vives (1961, Lleida), born in an artistic family, since he was a kid, he feels a big passion for the arts. Self-taught, he practices different disciplines being inspired by big the biggest painting masters as Velázquez, Fortuny, Vermeer, Richard Estes... that’s how he explores different types of styles until he finds his own. Sometimes working live outdoors, as using bad taken photographs from his familiar album that he improves and transforms in his paintings, the Artur Vives style is characterized for the use of color and the subjective view of the places and spaces that he freqüents.
